Introduction of Exercise Description
To start basic exercises on a guitar, first of all you need to know how to read exercises. In the figure, you will see that all the letters and numbers are described by leader. First you need to understand the leaders, then you can easily understand all the exercises below.
Exercise-01
This is the most basic exercise that all guitarists do. You will start this exercise by playing the note on 1st fret of lower "E" string or No. 6 string by your 1st finger, then play the note on 2nd fret of "E" string by your 2nd finger, then 3rd fret of same string by your 3rd finger and finally 4th fret of same string by your 4th finger. Then repeat same pattern in other strings as well up to higher "E" string or 1st string. After finishing downward exercise start playing from 4th fret of higher "E" string by your 4th finger and finish at 1st fret of lower "E" string. Do this exercise until your guitar gives you clear sound for each note.
Exercise-02
You will start this exercise by playing the note on 1st fret of lower "E" string or No. 6 string by your 1st finger, then play the note on 2nd fret of "E" string by your 2nd finger, then play the note on 3rd fret of "A" string of No. 5 string by your 3rd finger and then play the note on 4th fret of same string by your 4th finger. Then repeat the process alternatively downward. Now repeat the overall pattern described above by playing the 4th note of higher "E" string by your 4th finger and go upward alternatively. Do this exercise until your guitar gives you clear sound for each note.
Exercise-03
You will start this exercise by playing the note on 1st fret of lower "E" string or No. 6 string by your 1st finger, then play the note on 2nd fret of "A" string by your 2nd finger, then play the note on 3rd fret of "E" string of No. 5 string by your 3rd finger and then play the note on 4th fret of "E" string by your 4th finger. Then repeat the process alternatively downward. Now repeat the overall pattern described above by playing the 4th note of higher "E" string by your 4th finger and go upward alternatively. Do this exercise until your guitar gives you clear sound for each note.
Exercise-04
Start this exercise by playing the note on 1st fret of lower "E" string or No. 6 string by your 1st finger, then play the note on 2nd fret of "A" string by your 2nd finger, then play the note on 3rd fret of "A" string of No. 5 string by your 3rd finger and then play the note on 4th fret of "E" string by your 4th finger. Exercise-05
Start this exercise by playing the note on 4th fret of lower "E" string or No. 6 string by your 4th finger, then play the note on 4th fret of "A" string by your 4th finger, then play the note on 3rd fret of "A" string of No. 5 string by your 3rd finger and then follow the pattern shown in the figure. Repeat the given pattern simultaneously downward and upward. Do this exercise until your guitar gives you clear sound for each note.
Exercise-06
Start this exercise by playing the note on 1st fret of lower "E" string or No. 6 string by your 1st finger, then play the note on 1st fret of "A" string by your 1st finger, then play the note on 2nd fret of "A" string of No. 5 string by your 2nd finger and then follow the pattern shown in the figure. Repeat the given pattern simultaneously downward and upward. Do this exercise until your guitar gives you clear sound for each note.
Exercise-07
Start this exercise by playing the note on 1st fret of lower "E" string or No. 6 string by your 1st finger, then play the note on 3rd fret of "E" string by your 2nd finger and then play the note on 1st fret of "E" string by your 4th finger and then follow the pattern shown in the figure. Repeat the given pattern simultaneously downward and upward. Do this exercise until your guitar gives you clear sound for each note. This exercise will help you stretch your fingers while playing.
Exercise-08
Start this exercise by playing the note on 1st fret of lower "E" string or No. 6 string by your 1st finger, then play the note on 3rd fret of "E" string by your 3rd finger and then play the note on 4th fret of "E" string by your 4th finger and then follow the pattern for "A", "D", "G", "B" and higher "E" strings. Repeat the given pattern simultaneously downward and upward. Do this exercise until your guitar gives you clear sound for each note. This exercise will increase the strength of your weak fingers.
Exercise-09
Start this exercise by playing the note on 1st fret of lower "E" string or No. 6 string by your 1st finger, then play the note on 2nd fret of "E" string by your 2nd finger and then play the note on 4th fret of "E" string by your 4th finger and then follow the pattern for "A", "D", "G", "B" and higher "E" strings. Repeat the given pattern simultaneously downward and upward. Do this exercise until your guitar gives you clear sound for each note. This exercise will increase the strength of your weak fingers.
